The James Dyson Foundation has launched a brand new educational resource, Engineering Solutions: Hair Science, which is a free digital resource designed for secondary schools.

This resource combines scientific principles with practical applications to explore the structure, composition, and behaviour of hair. Topics include keratin’s role in hair strength, the effects of heat and humidity, and the science behind every day haircare products.

Designed to make STEM education engaging and relevant, the teachers pack includes hands-on activities and supporting materials that connect classroom learning to real-world engineering challenges. By demonstrating how Dyson engineers solve practical problems, it aims to inspire students to consider careers in engineering and technology.

You can find out more more about the resource here.
